Guaranteed Acceleration

Meji’s AI has now been trained to recognize any grant agreement language that guarantees accelerated vesting at the time of a liquidity event. For any units with this guaranteed provision, all of the time units will automatically be included in all waterfall calculations.

For any new grant agreement added to the cap table, our AI will automatically add this data point to the cap table. For all existing units for our clients, we ran our AI through each company’s existing legal documents to backfill the database.

Bespoke Acceleration

Alongside this upgrade, we released a new feature that lets our clients add bespoke vesting acceleration to their waterfall models. Clients can now choose which units will have their unvested time units accelerated at a theoretical exit event.

This modeling enhancement helps our clients fine-tune their waterfall models to better reflect the mechanics of a true exit event.

Exportable Excel Models

Meji has released fully exportable Excel models for our waterfall calculations. Excel models are automatically and instantly generated by the platform, and include fully auditable formulas.

Anyone with access to Meji can now instantly generate an Excel-based waterfall model for any portfolio company for any exit event. By combining our AI with exportable Excel models, we have fully automated the end-to-end cap table and waterfall spreadsheet process.

Upgraded Dashboard

We’ve also overhauled our Dashboard page to surface more of the platform’s functionality in one place. You can now run the AI unit import, manage a cap table, or build an exportable Excel model, all directly from the dashboard.
